This series grew from an offer to help a friend organize his frame shop in 2024 and is a literal case of finding treasure in another man’s trash. Each scene is based on an actual view of downtown Houston, photographed, sketched, and then recreated in a one-of-a-kind cut paper collage.
 

All skylines are made from fabric and paper matboard, paper, glue, tape, t-pins, and sometimes misc paper embellishments. 
 

The ‘streets signs’ include quotes from a variety of wise and famous folks on topics relating to place, presence, and perspective. Authors are credited in ‘Certificate of Authenticity’.

All skylines can be customized to specific views of Houston and can include personally significant elements such as constellations, fireworks, rain, rainbows, and birds. Street signs can be customized and personalized elements such as tiny homes/businesses, vegetation, and model figures can be added.
